With the popularization of electronic payments, vending machines such as QR code payment and instant messaging are increasingly favored by consumers, widely appearing in places with high traffic such as supermarkets, residential buildings, scenic spots, hospitals, etc., providing great convenience for consumers. As an emerging food business model, behind the convenience and efficiency of vending machines, there are concerns about food safety hazards.

"Through investigation, we found that the placement of vending equipment is mainly located in urban areas with high pedestrian traffic, mainly consisting of beverages, pre-packaged food, and agricultural products. However, the advertisements posted on vending machines have no information about the managers. In the event of food safety issues, consumers may not even be able to find the main body to report and protect their rights." The prosecutor who participated in the investigation visit explained.

On the basis of thorough investigation and evidence collection, the court organized a hearing, and the procuratorial officers displayed the situation involved one by one. After fully listening to the opinions of the participating units, combined with the hearing evaluation opinions, they issued procuratorial suggestions to the relevant administrative organs.

After receiving the prosecution's suggestions, the relevant administrative authorities promptly launched an investigation. Currently, they have interviewed the operating units of vending machines in the five locations mentioned in the prosecution's suggestions, urged the public disclosure of relevant information such as business licenses, and carried out special investigations throughout the jurisdiction to increase inspection efforts and ensure complete information disclosure.
